Long before I was born, my grandfather and his brothers owned and operated sawmills in the Uinta Mountains of Utah. The last of these they named Currant Creek. The mill operated from 1954 to 1962 producing lumber for the region.
In choosing a name for my indie press, it was natural to consider places of significance to my family. The romantic part of me likes to think that maybe just a speck of sawdust from the mill is recycled into my books.
