Many of you probably did what I did on Monday and Tuesday and kept checking the news to see if the fire at Notre Dame. Was anyone hurt? Are the windows intact? Did they get the artwork out?
I thought about my imaginary friend Gina from Miss Guided who if she was real would have visited the cathedral last week. At first, I thought I should go edit the book and take out her visit, but then I realized that erasing the memory did a disservice to one of my favorite Parisian landmarks.
I am heartened by what I have read today and continue to pray for a good ending to this sad story.
