Long before I was born, my grandfather and his brothers owned and operated sawmills in the Uinta Mountains of Utah. The last of these they named Currant Creek. The mill operated from 1954-1962 producing lumber for the region. In choosing a name for my indy press it was natural to consider places of significance to my family. The romantic part of me likes to think that maybe just a speck of sawdust from the mill had been recycled in my books.
