Those of you who have read Waking Lucy may have noticed that I dedicated it to my favorite high school English teacher, Marie Rinard. This afternoon is her memorial service. Unfortunately I cannot attend.
I did have the opportunity to speak with her a few months ago (more on that in a future email) and I got to thank her for being that one teacher.
