June 6-8, 1816 Forecast: Snow

I spent much of the last year immersed in researching the summer of 1816 for Healing Sarah. I learned so much that I feel like I got a degree in some sort. I have tried to imagine what people thought waking up to snow in June. It wouldn’t be for almost another hundred years before scientists theorized that the bizarre weather of 1816-17 was caused by the eruption of Mt. Tambora in April 1815.
