Happy July!

To my friends in the USA, I hope you have recovered from too much fried chicken and apple pie. My little dog is afraid of fireworks so I spent the last two nights trying to console him as he goes from room to room looking for a place to hide. Unfortunately, our cities big show is on July 3rd at a stadium not too far from our house so it didn’t matter which bed he tried to hide in, the ka-booms still shook the windows. Today he is back to normal and trying to keep me from writing.

The Year Without a Summer Fact:

On the 4th of July in 1816,
it was so cold in many parts of New England,
that people broke the ice on their wells to get water and those attending parades bundled up in their winter coats.
