Equinox

In less than twelve hours, the world will be equal in a sense. For those in the northern hemisphere, it will be the first day of spring and for the southern hemisphere the start of fall. I hope you a happy spring or fall where ever you are.

The Science Behind the Equinox:

The Equinox happens on the two days each year when the equator is aligned with the center of the sun. The earth is tilted at approximately 23.5 degrees, due to this tilt the northern and southern hemispheres have different seasons. On the day of the Equinox, the distribution of the sun’s rays are equal at the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn which are often used to study astronomy relating to the seasons. This means that  the entire earth is centered between the polar summer and winter seasons..
