The Science Behind the Equinox:
The Equinox happens on the two days each year when the equator is aligned with the center of the sun. The earth is tilted at approximately 23.5 degrees, due to this tilt the northern and southern hemispheres have different seasons. On the day of the Equinox, the distribution of the sun’s rays are equal at the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn which are often used to study astronomy relating to the seasons. This means that the entire earth is centered between the polar summer and winter seasons..
