After her last proposal, Jerusha Hardy has no intention of breaking rule number one, ever. Taking a teaching position in Greenville (North Logan) is the perfect use for her teaching degree and way to explore life outside of Salt Lake City. However, from the moment the superintendent’s son meets her at the train station, her plans go array.
Responsibilities weigh heavily on Ammon Skidmore, running errands for his father is one more thing to add to his day. He hopes the new teacher will ease his life by caring for his aging grandmother, until he meets her. The inept Miss Hardy brings complications he never expected as she wins his heart.
Set in Cache Valley’s one room Green Canyon School house, this novella celebrates Utah’s early history through fiction.
